 “Unravel” Performance: Jane Brucker would like to invite participants to become part of her ongoing performance project “Unravel”.  This work centers on the activities of doing, undoing, and redoing. Hand-knit blankets, sweaters, shawls, and vests are taken apart and/or re-created in a process that mirrors the compromise and change inherent in life. Using her expertise as a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique, participants will be led through the activity of unraveling, allowing them to meditate on a change of mind or heart while letting go of habitual tension. The “Unravel” process ultimately is evident in the installations Brucker creates incorporating the reworked and reconstructed pieces into solo and participatory installations and performances.
